Conference Registration

Early Bird registration (new extended cut-off date) up to 15th April is AU$350. After this time AU$400

EMCR registrants (Early-Mid Career Researchers*): up to April 15th 2017 AU$300; after this AU$375

*EMCR: Early-Mid Career Researchers includes researchers up to 15 years after gaining their PhD with an academic rank lower than Professor.

Payments will be by credit card to a secure e-commerce site (eCart) through the University of Melbourne Accounting Systems .

Registration includes:

  • Conference abstracts and badge
  • Access to all scientific sessions and posters
  • Lunch and tea/coffee breaks
  • Dietary restrictions for catering purposes? (please describe)

Delegates not giving an invited talk are encouraged to submit an abstract. These will be assessed and will be allocated to either oral or poster presentation depending on programming constraints.

Social Event and Conference Dinner

We plan for an Australian pub-dinner in nearby Kingscliff on Saturday evening (pay for your own food and drinks at the venue).

The Conference Dinner on Sunday Night will be a buffet at Mantra and includes beverages (wine, beer, fruit juices and soft drinks)

Cost: $125 pp including drinks; EMCR discount rate $100


We have reserved a block of hotel room accommodation for the evenings of Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August 2017 at the venue Mantra on Salt Beach and some rooms at Peppers Salt Resort and Spa (the adjacent resort) at a discount rate ($435 single/$465 double or twin for 3 nights including breakfasts). Rooms are limited at the discount rate so early payment is advised. If you are sharing a twin/double room with another delegate, please ensure that each delegate completes a registration form.

Peppers may be able to accommodate any overflow of guests if rooms are available.

Presenters of oral or poster presentations will be able to provide a half page abstract that will be available at the conference to assist with note-taking. Further details to come.
